Would that be good if I take Screenshot from letterbox video, then clear the video part in photoshop so it will be transparent. That way those black bars would look exactly same. Bad idea? 😛

Have you explored the color correction tools in PPro? Do you find them inadequate? If you can make them work to your satisfaction it would certainly simplify your workflow.
I use film magic pro pre-sets in the video. They are not available in Ppro.
I would probably render the whole thing out of AE and import the results into a new PPro project.
But 5min30sec video would be huge with no compression am I right? And very big files dont work smoothly in Ppro either. But if I make color corrections and transitions in AE I dont have to do anything else in Ppro, just burn it. So Dynamik Link’s “lag” wont be issue…

When I import PP prject to AE it doesnt come like it should. In PP I have layer scale in last clip of the first set but when importing to AE there is one extra clip after that and it has the scale “effect”.

And when I’m trying to export AE project to PP it doesnt do well either. First I get some error:

Clips dont have any effects. Also their order is different what it was in AE.

This is so frustrating. I should have started editing this music video on monday but cant start because if I first cut it in PP and then can’t import it to AE like it is in PP I would have done hours of work for nothing.
I just need to cut the video in PP and add few cross fades. Then add effects and color corrections in AE. AE should have same cut possibilities than PP does have and we would have way less problems with whole editing process. But cutting and editing like that is just horrible in AE 🙁

Yep.. we will rent that camera on saturday and we will have it just one day so we cant do any tests (one time I did have the camera before and tested those settings but I didint see almost any changes from the LCD so I went with “thin” because it was the first option. But now I will go with “mid” then.

In “Fields and Pulldowns” options, “seperate fields” was set to “Lower field First”. I changed it to “off” and now it looks more how it should look, thanks 🙂

Also what is the best way to do “miniDV -> DVD” if you use Premiere to capture videos (is it the best way to capture?) and AE to edit and making effects? So that the video dont have any encodes or other things that makes quality worse than the original.

There’s just one problem. It takes very long to learn how to use 3dsmax and I dont have too much time for this project 🙁

I need that the hole layer goes into 3D. In conoa the object is only 3d inside the layer.

Conoa doesn’t work because i need to use own camera and not that in conoas effect. And also I can’t do half circles which I need.
