Well from my behalf the only thing I can advise you is to go to your internet browser>search mode and type Encore tutorials. You will find lots of tutorials that could bring you some insight of you’re looking for.
I can’t tell you any more because I didn’t use Encore from long time ago.
Good luck -
My friend… the use of Encore is not easy until you find the trick. Some tutorials are more complicated to follow that the task to do itself. Whenever you find the work-around will see is easy.
What is your problem?… to set up Encore to make the menu and chapters or you already have this task and only need how to burn the disc??
Remember to set up to automatic transcoding.
I’m not an expert! so my help is limited.
Whatover I have found others progs more easy and with lots of buttoms, bgks and intro music… like Ulead Workshop but this don’t have a automatic transcoding and you will have to set the best kbs(bitrates I think)by yourself…to obtain the best quality vs the disc capacity & the footage length. No one is perfect -
I haven’t had too much experience with Encore but I think changing to “Automatic” encoding in the >project tap>transcoding setting>automatic. This will burn the DVD up to best quality settings….
If I’m wrong please correct me -
These are the steps I do:
From Premiere Timeline:>File>export>Adobe media encoder> hit ok
New screen show up:
Format:MPGE2-DVD
Preset:NTSC DV 4X3High Quality 7MB CBR 1pass
Comment: High quality. CBR transcoding of DV content> hit ok
New Screen: (Place or HD where to save the process) File name:xxxxxx
Save as type:MPGE2-DVD[.m2v]
Export Sequence: Entire Sequence
File size: 6gig
From this point on is where it takes many hrs. pkWhen writting this note notice that 6gig (file size) won’t fix in a DVD… so may be this is why Encore need to encode again to make it fix.
I choose Adobe media Encoder among movie> avi and so on because I did a test and the quality of the first was better… specially in the titles… avi have many jaggies where Adobe media was soft and better looking.I will like to know how you guys make this step by step. Also I select this:NTSC DV 4X3High Quality 7MB CBR 1pass… because the rest are “low quality” Then I ask: why so many low quality and only 2 high quality…
Thanks in advance

Will like to see a “Whish List”. Depite my little experience with Premiere 1.5, I have found some limitations/drawbacks that will like to be corrected in future product releases. Is just check others editing software and implement those positiveness into new releases of Premiere

Same happening to me! I did turn off the camera/player and audio come back as normal. Check this…. but other times can’t hear any audio and have to verify the parameters of the timeline settings, like; track volume is checked and so on. Think that when i select the audio mixer something happen that turn everything upside down.
BTW, looking for way to have a mono channel turned into both channels. Any clue? -
Weird! My FX 5200 have only one output to one monitor besides SVHS/Composite.
Looking to find a good one with dual head thought in the FX 5700. -
Having those problem too but found that the problem is my DVD burner or something related. Changed the media brand and nothing… then burned directly from the timeline into my standalone Panny E20 (using a DV camera as transcoder) and not only the quality was better but didn’t have the stuttering problems… The quality is very good: better than the internal burner.

Thanks all for the feedback…
Aanarav: the problem with the R200 is that it won’t eject the tray at all and have to be reset everytime… this printer for the price is good but for large quantities is not adecuate. It need to be attended constanstly to see if the process going ok… for 3 or 4 disc is ok.
