DVD studio pro has a timeline. Much like FCP does. You can “pull back” a frame if need be. However, DVDSP tends to pull back more than you would want. If you don’t see the timeline, you can pull it up from the windows menu.

You can also “fake” multicam in the FCP 4.5.
Just scale the clips and set RT to unlimited and low. Cheap and dirty, but it works.

If you click on the link above, You’ll see that the DVD player has a DASHBOARD audio EQ. I believe, that FCP 5 will use this type of interface with video/audio filters. You heard it hear first!!!
