I’ve solved my problem so here is what I did. I created a droplet in compressor and was able to drop hundreds of files into the droplet to be converted. It was simple in my case. All source files were of one type. And the output files, the setting and the destination were the same. So the droplet was a simple one (I understand they can be complex).

Hope this helps others with the Compressor quit problem when loading more than 15 or 20 source files.

How do you bring audio only back? I pressed F located clip with in and out in the viewer but how does one then select audio only to place in the timeline under the video clip?

    Thanks

Will they ripple in FCP 6.0.6? If they do I’ve not found how to make it happen.

I want to mark scenes in the timeline and as I add or delete scenes the markers will ripple, for example, with the first clip of that scene. I find being able to go to a sequence marker a fast way to find specific scenes in timelines that have many scenes… like the documentary I’m working on at present.
    Thanks

    Thanks Jason,
Your info helped me sort it out. One of the steps I finally understood and tried was to select the folder containing the 400 stills to be imported and then selected only the 1st file within that folder. That seemed to allow AF to assume all the other files were part of the sequence.
    Thanks again.
    Much appreciated,
