I have only dumped from the P2 too tape. Keep in mind If its shot in HD it converts the footage to DVC Pro DV. I don’t belive it will transfer back to the P2.

There is a cd that comes with the HVX that has the software that will do this. Canopus Broadcast lets you download the P2 cards from the camera. and will bring in the audio and video combined. So far I haven’t found a way to do this with the PCMCIA slot.
Not sure about Apple Or Avid.

Have you tried hooking direct to the Dell from the camera?

Sounds like a lot of extra work to me. Why not just edit in Edius Broadcast? It works for me. Stable as a Timex. Takes a licking an keeps on ticking.

I ordered my HVX Dec 21, and today I received my 5 P2 cards. The Camera is on its way and will arrive by noon UPS from B&H

Tell me about it David. Anybody need a good door stop. I have several M11 machines. Hey I still have lots of M1 footage shot back in 1988 of a music festival we have here every year laying around. Anybody know of and old M1 playback deck.
