    Hi all,

I am going to be shooting a low-budget feature, and I need this camera ASAP!

Anyone have any recommendations on where/when I can get this camera? Anyone have a good source?

Ever see The Untouchables? “What are you prepared to do?”

There are very few of these cameras out right now. Either you’ll pay a huge premium to buy someone else’s or you’ll need to go on a waiting list at one of the dealers. I’d suggest getting on the phone and calling all the major players- EVS, Birns and Sawyer, B&H. Then put out an ad on Craigslist in L.A. and NYC offering to rent from someone who has it. And have a plan B.

You and most of the rest of the civilized world.

Latest heard is that cameras are shipping weekly, and being allocated worldwide and stateside by region.

Very few reports from those having them.

You might try renting from evsonline. They do have a couple of cameras in LA.

I’ll have one available by the end of the month…or early Feb.

    It is busy now.

Look, no one really knows when they are getting their cameras—the guy who said he will have his by the end of Feb is just praying that it arrives by then–unless he has some kind of in at Panasonic. Having said that, why would anyone want to shoot a feature with a camera that is brand new to the market and hasn’t undergone the rigorous process of professional review?

Do what I did. Forget about the camera and then 1 day end of this year or next you will walk into a store and then see it for the first time. Then you will get excited about it and by that time the market should be flooded with them and you should be able to get one hopefully bellow retail instead of above which I am sure they can go for now. Plus think about all the accessories that will be out by that time.

    Good Luck
