You really don’t have to be an expert to work with chroma key as long as footage has a background with clean flat lighting. It should be either green or blue. The reason for that is, usually subject’s costume will not have those colors on them so software won’t take portion of it.
So I don’t believe in just green or blue. Black should be fine, but pls make sure you dont’ key out any part of the singer if she happens to have black color in her dress.
If that happens to be the case, you need to mask her first and then start keying. It’s a very tedious job since this is a music video i assume the motion will be lot. Motion tracking requires lot of keyframes.
If all is ruled out, keyout is just a matter of clicking and a little bit of color tweaking to fine tune it. In final cut pro you can use chroma keyer, or dv matte etc plugins. There are many out there.
If you have after effects it has a inbuilt plugin which is pretty straight forward and do a wonderful job.
Here is a video for final cut keyout: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Zt8EYaGIeM
I did one myself recently for my company. I did this with home depot lights and it worked very well. Here is the link if incase you might be interested

Just reload the disc of the items that you want to remove. I would start with the base final cut 7 disc and chose the option that you would want to uninstall. That should do it.
I see a you stated you have deleted from the application library folder. That might basically corrupt that particular piece of software… let’s say if it’s a motion, sound track pro etc.
Best way is to do it through the disc. Hope it helps.

Hi
1920 x 1080 HD is the same as HD 1920 x 1080 16:9. Only difference is the aspect ratio. 16:9 should be used if you have applied lightbox in your footage. I would say go with the first option to get the full frame of the shot where as if you use 16:9 your actual frame will be cropped.
It’s better to apply both profile. It’s just drag and drop in compressor. See which one you like.
Hope it helps

December 31, 2011 at 1:09 am in reply to: How to Composite two videos to create Accident scene effectDave I used rotoscope to isolate the person who is jumping out of the frame. I put the other video where the car is going forward starting at the frame where the person is start jumping.
Now how do i keep the isolated subject on top of this frame? Basically how to mask the rest of the area so the car can hit him?
I can’t figure that out. Pls assist. Thank you!

Hi,
Thanks for your response. I already have my QT file exported with current settings (Apple prores hq) from fcp directly which is around 7.55 GB in size. I imported that including chapter markers in DVDSP. As i said earlier, i tried hd dvd and i also burnt SD DVD by going to project settings and used the SD DVD. It’s still not playing in the DVD player.
I have done lots of work in the menus. Is there anyway i could correct it in the project here in DVDSP and burn it in SD and make it work?
Could you pls tell me the workflow? Thanks!
Hariharan

July 8, 2011 at 3:51 pm in reply to: tips & tricks to shoot a music video with external master track audiohi,
i understand what you mean. but i guess this may get little complicated since i use multi cam. plus i forgot to add one more point. the musician sing this song in several frequency every time. that’s a big issue if i want to sync.
so we have planned to play the original master track in a small audio system for him to follow it properly. so i may have two sound recorded on my zoom h4n and other cams internal audio.
now am getting really confused on how the workflow should be since i will have the musician original voice coming(i dont’ think he can just mimic that may not be a good expression) and audio system, plus master track in the timeline…
