DVD Studio Pro burning issues
I figured out to include the chapters in the menus. When simulating everything works as expected. I set the first play to Menu. But when I burn it as SD or HD DVD the dvd was playing from the middle of somewhere in the song. I have resolved that too. Now when i burn this and put it in a dvd player or wii player or open the disk at vlc player it is not working. I don’t know why.
If i point that caches folder directly on vlc it is working as expected. What is that am doing wrong in burning? Why am not able to play?
It has created HVDVD_TS & JACKET_P folder. Does anyone have experienced this?
Please assist. I am stuck. And what bit rate is good for a high definition and also to play it in a projector?

HD DVD is a dead format. You want BluRay if you’re trying to create a HD Disc.
DVDSP will create a SD DVD for you.
Create your mpeg2 files b/4 importing them or import your QT files directly.Chris Tompkins

Thanks for your response. I already have my QT file exported with current settings (Apple prores hq) from fcp directly which is around 7.55 GB in size. I imported that including chapter markers in DVDSP. As i said earlier, i tried hd dvd and i also burnt SD DVD by going to project settings and used the SD DVD. It’s still not playing in the DVD player.
I have done lots of work in the menus. Is there anyway i could correct it in the project here in DVDSP and burn it in SD and make it work?
Could you pls tell me the workflow? Thanks!

Have you read the DVDSP manual?
It sounds like you have the basic knowledge of how it works and how easy it is to make a DVD.Cashe, VLC, TS Folders: You shouldn’t bother with ANY of this.
Burn the disc direct in DVDSP.If simulator works fine. Put in a Blank DVD-RW (good for tests) Burn.
Test disc on a normal DVD player hooked up to a TV. Not sure what the problem is. If a song is playing from the middle of the track then you told it to play that way.
