    Sorry, thought the video would start at the right time, it’s at about 3:48.

    I’d say most of this is shot as a stop motion, and then they just painted on each frame.

    And to add to that;
    to get better control over your keyframes, use the graph view and play around in there. You can adjust how smooth the keyframes act, and get a very precise control over the speed. Make sure to learn the difference between the value-graph and the speed-graph.

    October 20, 2011 at 1:47 pm in reply to: Animate person losing weight? (any program)

    I know, and that’s the problem. The client came to us and asked if we would be able to do this and just expect us to give them a simple “yes” or “no”.

    So in other words, we can say “Yes, we can do this, if you shoot it exactly this way”.

    I guess what I’m asking for here is if anyone here ever have done this, in AE or in any other program?
    Of course you could do this completely in 3D, but that would be extremly hard and time consuming to make photo realistic. So I thought I’d just throw the question out there.

    But don’t get me wrong, I’m thankfull for all ideas and suggestions!

    Yeah, using the liquify effect was my first thought too, but I don’t think that will look good enough. I’m acctually pretty sure this won’t be possible in After Effects with the basic tools(though I’ll give it a try). But I thought maybe there is some plugin or something that could help, even though I have no idea how that plugin would work.

    Or perhaps there’s some standalone program for this exact task?

    I’ve already tried increasing the shadow-map, but that didn’t do much difference.

    Since this is for a tv-show and I’ll have to do pretty much the same thing about a gazillion times, I think I’m just gonna go with dropshadows on the layer styles instead (even though they give another bug, track mattes doesnt work).

    There’s way to many bugs in this program.

    One of my colleague thought it wouldn’t be a nice idea to start posting the results of what we have done with the help we have gotten on this forum.

    So I thought I’d post the finished result of this project and try to start a new trend on the forum :). I’ts a trailer for the swedish channel 5.
