This may too little, too late but if I am in the ball park, I do know of a company that has been developing a software/hardware solution that I think could work for you.
It basically is a real time 3d program that can project an environment on a super wide screen (32 x 9) and you can interact with it live. Comes from a gaming technology in the way you can move around a defined space. interact with it. Have video streams running into it. so if a car or a person is presenting on stage they can be incorporated into the virtual environment.Only catch is that they’re london based.
The company is http://www.cheerfulscout.com
their product is
These kinda problems are good to be aired because we all learn what and where some really new and interesting stuff is happening!

I produce dozens of TVC’s (simple AE graphical 15′ TVC’s) and deliver with a file burnt to a CD. It is broadcast standard file and the company we deliver to imports it and feeds it out to the relevant stations across the country via its own broadband network. Ok there is a cost. Dunno what though. But might be cheaper than shipping tapes around a country.
I’m based in Australia, but I’m sure a similar company exists in the US. (Which I am assuming your from). This is the company that does it for us. If its worth anything to find out about.

September 21, 2005 at 12:14 am in reply to: A way to cast a shadow from a 2d object with light ?Just to follow up on this, cause I’ve often had trouble with lights. I have comped a test scene like the one described and had some text (that is casting a shadow on the desk) move towards the camera and the light. But all of a sudden half way through the move the shadow cuts out. I have viewed the animation from all angles and the text is not going behind the light or cutting through the desk, it moves correctly through space, but it just cuts out. Any ideas?
cheers

yeah, I was tinkering with the export as a reference and I know it is just a reference back to the source clip. But it looked really bad. Really soft. The ani export as its own clip was better. Why is that?
Also, if you are exporting certain clips, and you turn off the box- “make self contained”, therefore in theory making it a ref clip, why do you still get the settings window to set the codec. If its a reference, that doesn’t make sense. Which one do I select?Cheers

What do you mean by bake your expressions?Cheers
