I wonder if your footage is 30p, try to check it with Media Info and see what the true framerate is, you can download it for free.

[Sascha Haber] “I doubt your Raid can play two HD streams at the same time.”

I thought so too, but I am able to play 3D side by side at 24 fps, as far as the disk accessing the media I assume it shouldn’t make a difference how the output is configured, but I could be wrong.

One thing I forgot to mention is that this is just playback without any grades added, and one single shot.

Are you able to get 48 fps with the setup you have?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Rohit,

yes, I’m rendering with the FCP7 XML roundtrip selected, I also tried FCP regular and still same results, the weird thing is, it renders fine in target mode as a whole QT, but we need to bring it back to FCP 7 as a roundtrip. One thing to mention though, since the footage is 5D, it wasn’t brought to FCP with the Canon plugin, they all have timecode starting at 0, but I don’t think that would be the problem since it imported into Resolve with no problems.

    Thanks,

    Gus

Also, I’d like to add monitor output, it’s not visible in the broadcast, only in the gui, and the ability to type timecode

I’ve rendered out doing the resizing for DCP from Resolve successfully, however, my source was 1920 X 1080 2.40, in your case since it’s scope, I would try the four different scaling options you have in the Format – Output tab and render it square pixel.
I’m sure at some point I’m going to have to do this too.

  • Yes, I would love them too, but how much can you fit in that GUI? Unless they make them a floating window like the Scopes

Can you render it as square pixel and resize acordingly?

September 22, 2011 at 1:06 am in reply to: Track level adjustment as powergrade

I tried to recreate what you’re describing, I’m a little confused now because I thought that Resolve limits blacks and whites for 709, actually I couldn’t find anything below 0, but I went ahead and put a extreme low clipping on a track level, then I saved it as a powergrade, then when I needed to do that again, I created a new empty corrector node on the track level, on the saved powergrade right clicked Display Node Graph , and dragged that correction to the track node, that maintained it throughout the track and not the clip level.

    Hope that works

  • I think the problem is when you have multiple shots that belong to a same clip and are grouped, if it’s basing its grade by the shot name, maybe a workaround would be something similar to color trace but within the same project?
Also being able to set that version as default, like beauty grade in Apple Color, would be helpful.
