My 7D footage worked great natively on:

    Laptop- Core2Duo 4gb ram
    Desktop- Q6600 4gb ram 9600gt
    macpro- 16core 12gb ram quardo4000

    …works even better in CS6!

Rendering Transitions? What kind of footage are you using, and are you using the correct sequence preset (which will become obsolete once CS6 comes out)?

From what I understand, CS6 will allow text within markers on the timeline and clips.

In PPro, there will be a tab/window “Media Browser”. Import from there.

The HP ENVY Series seems to have the power, look, and feel of MBP, if that’s what you’re looking for.

Just out of curiousity, what is the need for the ‘clean feed’ export rather than OMF?

Look at your audio mixer. It is laid out in traditional form. There is a L-R dial above each track’s fader. Just turn way to the left or right accordingly. They are centered by default.

    Hope this helps.

  • If you just want PPro to open, it doesn’t matter what setting you choose. You can choose the proper sequence setting if you know you’re working with or want to to work with.

Once PPro is open you can create more sequences and the ‘settings’ dialogue will open again.

SEQUENCE CREATION SHORTCUT (It now works like AE!): in your project bin, drag your footage clip onto the ‘create new’ icon, next to the magnification icon and the new folder icon. Your sequence will be created based on the clip’s dimensions and codec.

    Hope this helps

Great suggestion for the PPro wishlist.

Having edited both features and news, my workflow for ENG was to save a project with audio tracks set up for 2 camera channels (SOT and NAT sound) with dynamics and eq preset, and another EQ’ed track for the producer’s VO.

June 30, 2011 at 1:57 am in reply to: Switcher. I need Control Surface for mixing

Adobe Audition has surface control and round-trips with PPro, and part of the Production Suite.

“Adobe (Audition) has only programmed there software to work with the Mackie Control protocol”

I, too would like to have ( and have wanted for a while) Control Surface capabilities in PPro.

Theoretically, they will only put it in if it is requested enough times to rank high enough in the ‘priority’ list. That said, I foresee a whole bunch of FCP-like functions in the near future, finally.

    Hope this helps.
