    Hey all,

I’ve been using Avid recently, and I’ve gotten used to timeline locators, and how they can move with edits you make on the timeline, when trimming and cutting.

Is there a way for PPro markers to move when you move elements on your timeline?

Maybe I’m not using them in the intended sense– is there a way to place notes on your timeline, that move with the timeline?

I think you have to put the marker in the clip instead of the timeline but I’m not sure. It stays with the clip as you move it around.

Unfortunately you can only add notes to timeline markers.

From what I understand, CS6 will allow text within markers on the timeline and clips.

I’m using markers to edit to the beat, and like using the ‘automate to sequence’ functionality. I’ve found that this isn’t possible when placing markers on clips, so I’ve been creating markers on the time-line. Now the issue for me is that if I choose to shift the music and all the clips on a time-line along (or essentially add more space at the start of the sequence) the markers will become out of sync with the clips/audio. Is there a suggested way of placing clips to the beat whilst keeping options open, or is it a case of tapping out the markers again?
