bastardized Media Composer. I assume it’s their attempt to force us to DS. I don’t like the big downgrade. Most of us who had real media composers or symphonies miss having an Avid. Thier creative advertising has made more enemies than the ole mac bitchslap of ’98. -

no bubble burstin, man. My head isn’t in the clouds, I just know this Avid’s last chance to hang in there. Again, there is nothing to lose here. She knows this more than any of us do and I imagine she’s had a plan of execution for quite some time now. It’s not as if the company could really keep that dude… heck the consumer has seen this for a long time. Internally, I have to imagine things have been falling into place for a while.

well, I’ve never hooked one up. In linear land, it’s an in and out of the transcoder from one deck to the other. I honestly don’t know with a DVD. I assume ya plug it in, pop in a disc, load another one, push a button and ya gotta pal disc.
If they are eager to write a check, let em, give it a whirl and report back. -

I seriously have high hopes for Avid now for the first time in years.
Like a change in our current administrantion… ANY change is welcomed. It aint like it’s gonna get worse, she may have great ideas and most likely, she’ll stop the false advertising and corner-cutting that is tankin’ the company.

I recomend a post house that has one. It wont cost ya anything and if you get good on it you can easily turn it into a paying gig.
