use existing alpha from AE. Sounds like your imort setting are still invering the alpha.

try changing your import settings to 2:1 first. This way, it wont prompt you. I duno if this’ll ypass the glitch but i’s a good place to beginthe troubleshooting process.
What does it do when you render 1:1? -

ya gotta go into your deck configuration, delete your decks then ressign em.
I have to do this almost daily. Really, any time I hook up a new machine. For me, thats connecting a firewire cable. -
ya know, honestly, back in te olden daze our MC only crashed when using photoshop plugins in it (yes, it utilized them). It was on a quadra 840. I’d se up a reder on a friday afternoon and hope it was done without crashing come monday. I’d haveto pop in a time or two over the weekend to check. Same with 3D work. The same box held strata studio pro and ‘d have to render over the weekend. Also toted CoSa After Effects. yeah! CoSa afer effects v1.0!
I loved Avid back then and only grew to love em more as their products advanced better and faster than anyone elses.

I get this sometimesd when I try to play starting from an audio dossolve. Puzzling since it happens with you where thre is no audio.
What happens when you create new user settings and try to play?

they’v been listed quite a bit by many users but sales peope get rilly fussy here when I list em out.
it’s buggy, clunky with firewire, useless with HDV, not DVD author-friendly (ya have to mix it all down first),has superbins (why are these super?), has trouble rendering the effects it’s shipped with but fine with sapphire (maybe it’s not shipped with the proper pugins?), and overall stil not ready for a version 1 release. Most of us still owe more on em than they are worth. While I use to crash maybe monthly with a meridien system, it’s now daily. There are a million and one things I have to baby with it while dancing on eggshells tying to avoid the next crash. Adrenaline sells FCP setups, straight up. -
yeah, many networks have very strict bilaws. Wouldnt expect it in Tyler TX but whateva. They don’t mind sending you a spec sheet if you ask.

Now, when what they want irritates me more than it’s worth, I pass.
Sometimes as artists or as business people, we do have to pass on a gig or a client. Truth is there are wonderful matches in this world and just as true, there are pair ups that should not be done. Try to put me in a corporate environment and it won’t be pretty, but I have very little problem getting paid to make something ugly for somone who says it rocks. I just don’t like to do it habitually because thats something that will cause burnout.
