AE is all I can think of, man. You can export it as a QT reference from Avid, import it into After Effects, interlace it and then render a new quicktime.

Bob, your knowledge is always enlightening.
    Usually too damn late tho.
    😉
I had a medea drive that use to hickup on me and throw stuff offline when I still saw it on the drive. I remember 36 hour sessions of recreation to meet deadlines.
I should put your cell number in my phone, man.

genarts sapphire has a blur called motion blur but its like a vator blur you’d use in AE or PS. Like, it uses a point then blurs from there. Useful in some cases but not as a motion blur.
You may be able to stack that clip. put a defocus on it using the direction your object is going (you will onty be able to blur it horizontally or vertically) and then use a nested mask to follow it. Again, not a truew motion blur but it’ll soften it pretty good.

not without a plugin. you can find one on avid’s site but it has to be rendered. I have found it quicker to just capture a burn in at low rez and use a PIP effect. It’s also much easier to just use your deck to lay down the burn in. I loop out of my beta deck into a DVD recorder and turn suer on for this. done.

Avid has changed a lot in the last decade. In selling more boxes of software to the consumer world and less product to the professional world, it was bound to become less than cost effective to hit expos geared toward this demographic. They passed the torch. Most of those prolly didnt see em passing it to fcp and premiere but as those products get better and better, well, we just have not seen much effort from Avid in quite some time now.
They use to be specialists. Now they have nothing very special.

try cranking up your frequency and just animating the amount.
I’ve also had great luck doing a quick dissolve to this effect instead of animating it. I use it as filler, not on the clip. This way I can apply to multiple clips just by dragging it and I can easily apply it to just a part of a shot by nesting an animatte effect.

to this day, every Avid editor needs to know After Effects and it’s for this very reason. It’s just not an area they felt needed growth. That said, yu will find much power in AE and you’ll find it greatly increases yuor marketability. Learning it could easily double a salary, depending on where one is at.

I believe you can export it as data to that hdv tape, depending on your deck.
I dunno if there is a way to play it out of the adrenaline yet.

you’ll get a lot of bang for the buck with Genarts Sapphire plug ins.
For the motin blur, you are best off doing that in after effects. It’ll give ya exactly what you are looking for in this case.

I took it too. I just mentioned how honesty is a good thing when making friends.
