    Hi
I’m sure this is quite a basic one but any help would be gratefully recieved. I need to make a ‘vibrating’ effect in a video, just so that the subject shakes/vibrates quite rapidly but not violently (if that makes sense?). I’m struggling with Sapphire’s ‘Shake’ Plugin and despite playing with the settings can’t get this kind of look. I need the subject to remain more or less stationary whilst ‘vibrating’ and with Sapphires plug-in I cant seem to get that
    Thanks for reading

try cranking up your frequency and just animating the amount.
I’ve also had great luck doing a quick dissolve to this effect instead of animating it. I use it as filler, not on the clip. This way I can apply to multiple clips just by dragging it and I can easily apply it to just a part of a shot by nesting an animatte effect.

Hi Carl. Like Grinner said, turn up the frequency so it shakes a lot faster (that’ll give you the fast vibrating look), and turn down the amplitude (that’ll make it less violent). You may also like the look better if you turn on motion blur (either quick or “yes” will look better in your case).

Another thing to get a more realistic vibration look is to turn the Tilt Rand Amp down to zero since you probably don’t want any tilting. Lastly, you could consider turning the Wave amps up and the Rand amps down. This will give a more regular, less random, vibrating action; adjust to suit your taste.

    hope that helps!
