a donation is a write off and could help some people out.
ebay is having to pack it up and becomes as big of a pain as a garage sale on a pretty day.
doin the office space out back with cameras rollin… now thats fun, should provide some excersise and could be a great way to kick off your next demo or pro-bono client suck up vid.
I like option 3. breakin stuff is cool.

  • It’s easier than that. In this case, you could have a paper all like “man, this cat can totally use my tunage, ya dig?”
with his signature and blessing, your golden.
Skipping the lable means skipping lawyers.
shoot, you could prolly even use two songs if ya throw in a case of beer.

  • ahh
    more native support for stuff.
Who wants to place some bets on when the native stuff is native?

nuthin. Just findin bugs as ya go.
If it’s stil happening there after rebooting, it doesn’t like the medai right there. You can try replacing each clip in that area, often this’ll do it. (i mean on the timeline…not deleting the media and recapturing it…it’s prolly just a precompute)
If that still no worky, try making a little mixdown of that area. It’s a horrible band-aid practice to get into but it works when these other options fail.
…don’t forget ya can’t hit play while sittin on a big audio dissolve.could that be it?

    Love both of those.
My earliest mentor stated so many tims that the best edits are undetected that I cheer for what I see as rebelion in these pieces. I love the “hey look at me” chops and until flicks like Snatch, I was quite the edit-hider.
Now, I love editing to the beat of a conversation and I love teasing, tormenting leading and misleading. These things can easily be done by waving for one’s attention.

Time-shaving only comes with repitition on these projects.
I started with over 80 hours per 30 show and can now bust em out on 40.
It sounds like ya have done this kind of editing and just don’t know. It’s a multi-cammed documentary. Sounds like they’ll lead the way with some time codes. I am assuming you are freelancing at there place and I am assuming you will have to capture. This being done before hand makes a huge difference on your hours.
Thats a huge amount of footage. obviously the killer. Who does the sifting, I guess is the question. If you can rock with a story line and the elements, man it can be a two day gig. If your firin’ up a deck and grabbin tape 1 camera 1, smoke em if ya got em for 8 daze.
thats 5 to edit, 2 to revise and 1 for cushion.

    milage may vary

It depends on your team. If you are asst editing, you need to ask the editor. If your are sharing a project, be as spacific but short as possible. If your a one man band, just use keywords you’ll know later. I have labled clips wtf, lol, omg and groovy freakin milf. I’ve known at a glace what all of em were.

[Terence Curren] “And no, Avid products will never be the same price as FCP”

what? I thought the whole “New Thinking” was cheaper, not better. If not competing with FCP, price pint-wise, I totally don’t see the reasoning in killing the clout of the brand.

It’s getting closer to an actual MC, it sounds like.
As is, it’s just XpressPro with animatte.
At least when it gets more hardware based (like it was before the big downgrade) it won’t be such a sluggy ram-hoggin pisser-offer.
ironicly, it won’t be much of a selling point because every kid in the nation will have a media composer in their bedroom right next to the Xbox.
We’ll have to start boasting a whole new buzzword to get agency work. That buzzword is no longer Avid. this is what thay happily handed away.
