I have noticed that when using 32bit QT movies in my sequences, when I start a consolidation of the sequence, it always gives me an error saying the “file is corrupt” or some nonsense. I have had this issue for some time now and have found a workaround…I render the sequence, delete the media from the QT master clips and then it consolidates just fine. I then include the original QT files in my backup in a Support Files folder just to make sure I can batch import them if needed.

Is this a known bug or is it something going on in my system?

    Many known bugs with consolidate.
when you say render the sequence, you talkin a simple render in to out or a video mixdown?

I just do a “Render In to Out”. This creates a precompute that is consolidated with the other files, but if in restoring the project, I have to change the position of the matte key over the footage below it, it causes a bit of a problem…that’s why I include the QT files in the backup so I can batch import and restore the media. Seems to work fine. I was hopepul of a fix or something I could at least pin it on.

    Thanks for the reply.
