Echo in After Effects is alot of fun to dink with. Outside of that, in Avid itself, you can get relly cool effects with half speed motion effects matchframed on v2 and dissolving out. You can begin this dissolve at frame 2, just after that match point. Try 30 frames at first and expierment. You can do this over and over and even stack some different speeds for different effects. Maybe some glow on certain or all layers? Play and enjoy with this one.

Have an online reel and offer a DVD upon request. You will find often, you will not have to send one out. When a company contacts you with intrest, they have already seen it.
while we are on it… Do ensure that reel is short. Making a brother turn it off before it’s over is a strike. You need to leave em wanting to see more. Same with your resume. PLEASE don’t begin it with your objectives. It can be assumed, at least at this stage, the objective is to score a gig.. hence the resume. Keep it a page or two long. Nobody has time to read a book.

It’s amazing how much work you can save with a little color keying. Sometimes, depending on the colors, thats all ya gotta do. -
You will find fuid motion looks the best (minus an occasion mackyly morphed frame you’ll need to replace with fluid draft).
It takes a while to render but is at least of use, unlike the default quality. -

are you trying to make a QT from an image sequence?
looks like on frame is fussy.
You could try mixing it down on a timeline and then exporting that, at least as a way of troubleshooting. -
I don’t recomend loading anything on those old work horses at this point.
Fake the reverb by staggering one of your stereo tracks one frame.

are the clips that are not playing showing up as stills when you are parked? are they at Dv25?
did you get your 500 bucks worth out of that call to Avid?

I found it entertaining how they’d tell a brother stuff 180 degrees against what they advertise. From adrenaline doesn’t play HD yet to have you tried rebooting, they were always good for a cackle.
a very expensive cackle.but back to your problem… batch those fussy clips in DV25 and see if that doesnt get ya goin.
