yes, just let avid resize it when you import it. Check your import settings.

Resize it to 720X486 and bring it in uncompressed without resizing it.

If you fly by your external scopes and export RGB, you will be fine. Blacks can indeed be crushed beyond 7.5 ire but are not illegal until lower than 0… getting into superblack at -10.
truth is, unless broadcasted on grandma’s old Curtis Mathis tube tv, it just doesn’t matter anymore. While that’s not a popular thing to say from a qquality control stand point, it’s spot on as LCDs, plasmas and projectors just don’t care. -
Just like in video land, we’ll see the tides turn in film as Avid just does not shine in competing these days. FCP’s upgrades are upgrades with new features whie Avid’s are nor updates to fix bug fixes, often presenting new ones on the fly.
It’s a shame. You guys know there was no bigger Avid fan than me back in the day. -
You’ll wanna keep the logo a psd file or a png so it reaimans alpha friendly and uncompressed. You can make one black in photoshop and one white. When you animate the first one in AR, you find you can simply duplicate that layer then alt drag your other logo onto that layer, replacing the bkack one with the white one (or vice versa). Now all attrubutes match perfectly and you need only keyframe an opacity change.
