    Hi Brian

8.5… is that pre-clothhilde? (I don’t remember) if it isn’t you could use clothhilde and belt the diaphram to the cylinder

    Sorry, no clothhilde.

I am beginig to think that MOCCA is not the path to go.
As a very very last resort I can key frame this.

Whether it be Mocca or not task is clear…..

    There are two objects…………….
I need to animate a set of points on object 1 so these points have the same motion as object 2. The non selected points of object 1 do not move

    Any thoughts ??????????

As no one has replied positively to your questions from a PI perspective my guess would be no.
The existing PI electrical arcs and sparks are rather poor.
All you need is 5 or 6 progessive photos of an electric arc and load these into PI. I would then duplicate these add some blur and use this for the coloured glow.
You can generate the arc pictures in Media studio pro.

This is done using Ulead Media Studio Pro to generate a lightning video with a black BG.
You can download a trial version of this.

This Video is then used as a material in a 3D application.
    I used maxon cinema 4D.
You make 2 cubes, one slightly larger than the other.
On the smaller inner cube you place the material of your choice ..I used metallic Gold.
On the outer cube you place the lightning video.
You need to use an alpha channel so that the non arc part of the lightning video is transparent allowing the smaller cube to be visible.
The texture offset of the video material is animated so the arcing flows across the surface of the cube.

Excellent news Arahon as this what I have just ordered.
Much cheaper where you are than here in Australia.
I paid $AUS1299 which is more than $US1000 and since ordering it has jumped to $AUS1450.

Thanks for your very reassuring input.

    Cheers
