Tried downloading hdv split on my internet computer and plugging my camera in via fire wire, does’nt see the camera here either

Cable works fine with my dv deck, so the firewire card on the camera must be fried.

I’ll update when i find out for sure

    Ok

When I select capture video a window pops up giving me a choice of either dv or hdv.sdi I select Hdv/sdi capture window opens with device not connected, the preferences window does not have a mpeg 2 firewire listing just windows, a nd firewire also external box.
I tried all combinations with no result at all.

Again this is a sony A1u camera with a firewire port listing HDV and DV
    The camera is in hdv

Amazing! we have a club going here!
Defining clips , clapturing and re-capture was perfct with these units. I repaired many edits by insert editing a frame or two spot on to beta masters. Machine control really worked!

Downside, Another company that did not believe in Tec support, System should have been more accepted and evolved faster.

Big Hello! to the FAST Vet’s

Thanks, It is an amazing feeling to finish a feature, as they are so much work!
I started many years ago, on a FAST Video Machine and recieved a lot of advise from a frequent poster here Doug Graham, Vegas does everything with software that used to require very expensive hardware, and so much more, It’s real creative freedom.
