They are the same brand but are they the same speed? I have a player that will not play 16X discs. I have to use 8x discs or slower.

I run Vegas on a Mac Pro using Boot Camp. I have a 2TB HDD dedicated to Windows7 Pro 64 bit and Vegas 10. It works very well.

Here’s the answer:

System Preferences > Energy Saver > Uncheck “Put hard disk to sleep when possible” and set Computer Sleep to Never.

It will always be available, I have the same burner in a Mac Pro.

This past winter I gave up on FCP 7 and now use Vegas exclusively. I have a Mac Pro running both OSX and Win7. Final Cut Studio 7 vs Vegas; IMHO Vegas wins.

John,
When you say AVCHD is a bear to edit, what types of problems do you mean?
Computer speed? Color correction? I’m still new to this but I want to buy a Pro camcorder this summer. Now I’m using a Sony CX-520V which is ACVHD and I don’t have problems editing. My field is professional photography.

John has helped me with slides and “Automatically crop still images added to timeline” saves time in version 10. John also suggested Vaast Ultimate S lite which I purchased. This really made slideshows easy.
