Make sure that in the image options of the canvas (third button on top of the canvas window) the RGB option is selected. Perhaps you pressed the keyboard shortcut to see the alpha channel.

    Thanks Mike,

As I said I have a website already. I’m afraid it’s become too outdated and it’s definitely too wordy. No problem finding my contact info on any page.

I also think my site needs to look more professional.

Many folks say that a video production company needs video on their first page. Or at least flash. I’m with Mark on the talking spokesperson. Yuck!!!

    Here’s my current site. https://www.ballmediainnovations.com

Add up how long it will take you to properly label and organize your clips. Then add up how long it takes you to constantly search for the right clip while you’re editing. You’ll be surprised at how much time you actually save yourself by organizing your project correctly at the start.

I agree with you guys, I’m just looking for something to tell this potential client. I’ve always been big on obeying copyright laws..

By the way Todd, this isn’t for an add spot, it’s for a restaurant to play inside while customers eat. Not that it matters much.

    Thanks guys!

I have to agree with Ed here. Your cost is too low.

We don’t offer 1/2 days of shooting. We only offer full day rates.

So for us this would come in at least $5,000 plus insurance.

October 23, 2009 at 6:41 pm in reply to: Moving a sequence to new project

Thanks Shane. My exact needs? I’m giving all the raw footage (media) to my client so they can in turn give it to another post production company. I thought it would be helpful to also give that post house a FCP project with just the final sequence in it.

My current project has about 12 sequences and that would confuse a new post house. So I wanted to simplify things by creating a new project with just one sequence and then put that along with all of the footage on one hard drive for the client/new post house.

FYI, we fired our client and told them to just take the footage elsewhere… long story. Bottom line is I fl sorry for the new post house taking on this project.

$450-$500 for a shooter works in our market. for a 10-hour day. Gear is additional.

I don’t know what they have. I fired my client, and in the firing I told them I’d give them the footage to take elsewhere. They’re not paying me for this and I’m not giving any more time to convert files. I’m told that anyone can download the ex1 codec and use it. Isn’t this true?
