show entire sequence
Posted by Alexander Hemingway on October 23, 2009 at 12:03 amDoes anybody know if there is a FCP equivalent of Avid’s “command /” (show entire sequence) for the timeline in Final Cut?
I’m getting annoyed with zooming in and out and moving the scroll bar around to get my sequence to fully fill the timeline on my screen.
Thank you!

I’m guessing you’ve never RTFM.
That’s a pretty basic question.

Greg,
We all know that using the FCP online manual is a much more efficient use of time for something so basic as a simple keyboard command. So, just because this is the “Basic Forum,” that doesn’t entitle everyone to be lazy.
Furthermore, I’d venture to say that anyone who catches Mark’s eye by clearly showing that they are inefficient and/or lazy, will most likely never find themselves working in post on one of the many shows that Mark manages for the reality powerhouse where he works.
So, there are actually many good reasons why even the most new of newbies should get used to trying the online manual before asking here.

Shift + Z should do the trick.
