Yeah, mixed bag.
I’ve a Presonus External Audio box. Ok. Well PreSonus uses ASIO Drivers and I’ve not found issues with it. I have found issues using the options you refer to. But, and again, here’s the thing: VegasPro is a bully when it comes to sharing-out ASIO drivers to “other” Audio s/w and audio devices, it will literally require you to reconfigure your Audio Settings. It’s taken me 10 years to understand the symptoms. The cause? Dunno. Will there be a cure? I doubt it.
So, as I said, mixed-bag experiences. I’ve stayed with ASIO Drivers for my VP Editing, I have PreSonus external AudioBox, a PreSonus FaderPort8 and an M-Audio Keyboard. They all work nicely.

I opened VP15. I made a Generated Media 30fps Project. Yes I NEEDED to create a 30fps Render To Template. I rendereed this out and confirmed its status through MediaInfo.

Good! It’s good to be picky with this stuff so now let’s be doubly sure by getting the MediaInfo through MediaInfo.
