Thanks for that Luke. Do try selecting a Region of the area that’s producing these anomalies and to start with Render to something uncompressed. Report back. I’m thinking that there is a lot of maths going on trying to go to MP4.
Interesting.

[Luke Gibson] “Any ideas?”
Yes, lots. But I’d need to see more Timeline detail, your render details, your project settings etc. Why a render doesn’t perform in the way the Preview appears can be as simple as the requirement for a higher bitrate. But let’s see just exactly what it is that VP14 is having to wrangle.
And BTW, previous projects may have worked could be the result of many, many reasons ???? .

I generate any artwork, here logos, near or just larger than the final requirements and place on an ALPHA Matte/Plate.
Does that help?

[Ilona Konovalcika] “Vegas actually don`t work with mxf in general?”
I don’t know about “in general”? But I do know VP16 Build 261 opens my MXF Files just fine – no issues. It will also Render to MXF if I so wish.
From your comments you need to know that MXF is only a wrapper, this from WiKi:
“MXF is a “container” or “wrapper” format which supports a number of different streams of coded “essence”, encoded in any of a variety of video and audio compression formats, together with a metadata wrapper which describes the material contained within the MXF file.”
So, Ilona, you need to know just what it is that inside that MXF OP-Atom. Download MediaInfo and use it to interrogate the CODECs that is needed to read them. I wouldn’t install any CODECs just yet, see if the MXF can be converted to another MXF or MPEG that’ll work nicely with VP16.
Please read this: https://community.avid.com/forums/t/110906.aspx
This MXF OP-Atom MXF file is more complex than I know – sorry ????

[Selena Morales] “Any ideas on how to fix this?”

That Fault Module Line indicates to me that you are having an issue as Vegas attempts to make a connection to some Audio Device or you’ve got some Audio SFX that requires the use of ASIO Drivers. Are you using an external Sound Card that requires ASIO Drivers? I have an external PreSonus AudioBox that requires ASIO Drivers. The Box is connected via USB. Sometimes I’ve needed to unplug the device and reconnect. I’d check that my ASIO Drivers are up to date.

When you view the Video, within Vegas, does it appear already as slomo-ed?
Get the freebie MediaInfo utility and open that 240 in it and get back here with what it says. https://sourceforge.net/projects/mediainfo/
