Hmmm…
You could try the Factory Reset. I’ve used this in the past to good results.
Hold down Ctr+Shift then click on Vegas the way you would do normally. You WILL loose all your previous Preferences, because this does do a Factory Reset, but you may just shake loose a bad opening procedure. If this corrects it then all well and good, if not get back here.

Right Click on Audio Event, open Properties and see if the “Mute” option is selected. If so, deselect it.

If you are at the on an Event already, then us this KB combo:-
Alt+Shift+UP or DOWN Arrow
Works extremely well.

Hmmm, help me here. Do you want to :
Select in Track Header:-
Track1 then Track2 then Track3 or any variation/combination thereof?
If you’re already at the Track Header at say Track2, then using the UP and DOWN arrows you can Navigate . . UP and DOWN. But you may want something more – maybe?

If you haven’t, try turning OFF GPU acceleration in the:
Options > Preferences > Video Tab.
It’s no solution, but points to the need for SCS to get this feature up to speed for more recent video cards. What is yours?
