[Kyree Waters] “i can’t hear anything from sony vegas,”

Hi Kyree! Do check Francoise’s Link.

OK! I notice that that Audio is separate to the Video. Where did you get it from? Can you listen to it outside of MAGIX VegasPro? Check you can hear ANY Audio by placing another test Audio Event on the Timeline? Why can I see that 0.0 dB warning?

[Ole Kristiansen] “then select Open Volume mixer. You’ll see a set of volume controls for your devices. Make sure Vegas 15 is not muted.”

Hi Ole! – Yeah, well I’d also be looking at the SOUND Settings for the Speakers:

December 10, 2019 at 10:04 am in reply to: Shortcut for volume adjustment in selected area?

    Actually, you Could TRY THIS:

    1] Add an Audio Envelop.

    2] PLAY the Track

3] Using the Audio Automation WRITE and LATCH adjust AUDIO Level on the Fly – that would work.

Tip: Play the Track at say Half-Speed so you can keep up!

[Mohsen Amini] “I guess everything is clear now and no need for a video, right?”

I asked to determine just how much and under what circumstances you felt you had arrived at what you wanted – Hm…

OK, I wouldn’t want the Video, just the AUDIO. I have not heard of a Ducking-Under for one Track? IMO better than Scripts, which would be a real-time Attenuator for the dropping of unwanted noise. I’d use my iZotope RX to do this in REAL-Time Correction. I wouldn’t need to spend ALL the time interrogating and looking for “gaps”. I would also allow the parameters of RX to Attenuate as I wished. Again, post just the Audio and I’ll post back what I could do.

Up to you. Many ways to skin this particular cat. Please don’t get focussed on just Scripts.

[Mohsen Amini] ” I need to select a specific area and use some kind of shortcut to decrease the volume of the selected area immediately.”

Hi Mohsen! If you reduce the ambient you’ll have an unnatural GAP in the narrative. Is that what you want?

Can you post a SMALL segment of the offending audio?

December 8, 2019 at 10:23 pm in reply to: stabilization jitters

[Roger Bansemer] “It looks fine in the preview”

yeah, well it really shouldn’t. What you’re seeing in Render is really what’s had to happen that you’re NOT seeing in Preview. I do exactly what Francois does, also learnt over the years. ????

    A) Trim/Select Footage. : VegasP
    B) Stabilise: Mercalli
    C) Denoise : Neat Video
    D) CC & Grading : I gotta whole bunch of Tools for that including NEWBLUE ColorFast, all the Vegas Toolset, Magic Bullet Looks

Roger, you’re gonna have to accept the fact that just ‘cos you can do something – like making a whole Necklace of Chained FXs – just maybe you shouldn’t? Point in case here is stabilisation.
