[René van Gageldonk] ” There’s only one thing: “shuffle” doesn’t work.”

AH, righto – you’re using the actual SHUFFLE Tool. Hmmm.. interesting.

December 4, 2019 at 8:12 am in reply to: event audio keyframes?

[René van Gageldonk] “Has anyone any suggestions?”[René van Gageldonk]

    Yes.

“Notice: not the track, but the event. With the track this is easily done with keyframes on the audio volume envelope. When I reshuffle the events I want the keyframed audio volume to stay with the video.”

You DO need to insert a TRACK Envelope; add your adjustments points AND then Lock Envelop to Event and shuffle away :

You’ll find all your Event Adjustments are “glued” to the Event. Works a treat!

December 4, 2019 at 8:01 am in reply to: Vegas Video Scopes

[Derek Charles] “Is it okay to go below Histogram 0 or above 100 by just a little bit?”

Hi Derek! You’ve asked THE question that pursues all Editors since the time of Chaplin and before.

Go too high and there won’t be any pixels to adjust, they’re blown.

Go too low and there won’t be any pixels to adjust, they’re dead.

Now, to your “observations” that it looks better – really? Where are you Previewing/viewing your output?

BTW, do you use the Scopes?

    Great question.

[Rob Lindsay] ” I don’t know how I made the blue lines appear, but I sure would like to be rid of them!”

Hi Rob! – Yeah, that’ll be the Mute Envelope. I’ve never in my 17 years of VegasPro experience used in it in “Anger”, only having made me Angry!

  • [Janet Turner] ” Project Media tab to set the auto preview!!!!”

Hi Janet! Yes I use this all the time too. I had assumed, incorrectly, that you had had this activated and you couldn’t understand just why this wasn’t getting your Media Previewed. That’s why I suggested the Trimmer being the culprit in stealing your Previewing.

[Janet Turner] ” Now to learn how to use the Storyboard and add the Title tab to my layout.”

Ah-huh! And when you do maybe you could teach me? When it comes to this I’m a lost cause or “Forlorn Hope” . . .

[Janet Turner] ” I left off with Vegas 14 so I am probably a bit behind the rest of you. So far, I like Vegas 17 but I am just starting to scratch the surface.”

Wow, you’ll see some majoraly massive improvements. There’s much to be excited about – well, I think so.

  • [Janet Turner] ” I cannot seem to find where I can set this as a default in Vegas 17.”

Hi Janet! Working here. You may have the PREVIEW showing in the Trimmer Preview rather than the MAIN Preview window.
