Dave, this is Bug generated by the Default option in Preferences > Editing for, “Collapse Loop Region Selection When No Time Selection Is Present”. Yes very odd indeed. Uncheck that and you should be good to go. This is not a solution. This has been reported to VegasSoftware Developers.

If I click on the ALTERNATE BACK is says “Source”, but can’t find a way to select the (the New back ) from the timeline.. Guess I am missing something somewhere.. Any ideas?

Jono, great question! You got me fired-up. I started testing your request and my results confirm your results. Then I asked myself, hm, what SHOULD a PAGE Peel, Roll page whatever actually DO? My understanding is exactly what we’re finding. Yes, I know, I’m kinda stating the bleedin’ obvious here, but, there comes a time if we can’t find one then maybe we need to look outside the BOX and approach this differently. Could there a point where the TEXT is cut or faded so that it does NOT appear as part of the Transition?
I have other ideas . . . .

I’m doing a 5 minute of B Cartoon Look to a MAGIX 422 Intermediate MOV. No GPU option, that I can tell, and that’s estimating 40 minutes.
