September 8, 2020 at 4:08 am in reply to: Tim! – Yikes! Luvvin' the New Look Cowshed!“And yes, video upload is definitely coming back. The original impetus
behind turning it off was that we were being buried in copyright claims,
many of which were flatout nonsense, but once we crossed 10,000 reels
plus who knows how many forum post videos, we simply couldn’t keep up
with the takedown notices.” – Tim . . .How do I Quote what others are saying? The OLD way was straightforward if a little clunky. Is there a Tutorial of the New Markups and so on?
Thanks for the fulsome response.

[dave croonprince] “Any ideas?”
Apart from running out of Space and that you maybe using a Demo version of VP18, no. We’d need a lot more information.

[Tommy Sewell] “Might invest in the full one unless there’s a free option and also could this be caused by not having enough lighting?”
Hi Tommy! Get or SEE demo of Neat Video. Been using it forever . . . . I’m betting you’ll see and then ponie-up the money.

[Bob Moyer] “With your help I seemed to have my issues solved with particleIllusion.”
?. I started with pI some 15 years ago. Got it as a freebie from the front of VideoMaker. I’ve also submitted Particles for Alan the originator/animate for pI. Great product. For me it’s the Dust and Mists that get me going. I recently did a 60th Anniversary and I gave my Bling-side freedom and let loose on it. Fireworks, Diamonds, Sparkles, Spinning Globes, you get the picture? The families loved it.

Are you saying you followed my instructions – yes?
So, where does this leave our friend at BORIS, who informed you?
[Roger Bansemer] “I think what the person from Boris told me in an email that in order to have it show up that way it has to be purchased.”
Seems like one can have it show up without Purchasing.
[Roger Bansemer] “One thing that puzzles me is that Vegas is set to “Best” and the resolution is 1920×1080 so what could be causing this poor result?”
Not to do with that. Now that I’ve got you on the same page, please change your Project Settings Pixel Format to this:

August 16, 2020 at 4:09 am in reply to: Roger Bansemer: Solution for Particle Ilusion[Bob Moyer] “Thank you Edward. The “mediainfo” properties identified the file name as …particleillusion.mov, and the format as .mp4, while the format profile is Quicktime.”
Me too. Once again, here’s my SUCCESSFUL outcome,:
However, I think I may have stumbled on CONVERGENCE of Errors and thusly a solution.
Here are Bob and my MediaInfo side-by-side. Bob on LEFT me on RIGHT and both “indicate” an MP4, as per Edward’s obs this is NOT what is required. Hold that thought ☺:
NB: There’s a “hint” of the Quick TIme versions. Do you see?
Bob and Grazie Side-By-Side Render Templates:
Well, there’s not much here that I could query which in turn means that there HAS to be another issue.
Now that we’ve proved no real issues with Filename usage/content (MP4<>QT<>MOV) nor Render Template Profiles (Bob and Me above), what’s left? It COULD be something as simple as the need to UPDATE QT Player!
Here’s mine:
So, very long story shortened: Bob is doing the correct Render, albeit that change of ALPHA, which he could also copy me too, but I would like to see Bob reveal his version of QT Version, and if OLD update it. It could be that the more recent QT versions and MediaInfo are savvier about MP4<>QT<>MOV than we know.
My suggestion: Update QT version, and, if wanting to follow along, change that ALPHA option.

No pressure then?
All I can keep saying is that it works for me. What I still want both of you:
A] MediInfo of the rendered Pi file
B] A Screen grab of the pI render Template.
Over to you guys.
