  • I’ve not done that, I’ve always prepared in Vegas. The quality will be the thing that will finally decide if you’re happy.

But getting back to your original enquiry, I quickly tested a non-Vegas prepared file, no Chapter Marks and just dragged it into the DVDA Workspace. I added 14 Chapter Markers on the DVDA Timeline; added Scene Selection; added a sub menu and dragged ALL the 14 “Scenes/Chapters” from the folder navigator directly onto the Submenu. Done!

Rendering/Prepare was a cinch. Burnt to a RW-DVD and played it. Used the Scene Selection thumbnails and it all worked fine.

So yes, it is very possible to do what you asked. As a secondary reply, I’m not sure what your quality will look like after you’ve rendered it. The Render being MPEG2.

  • I can’t see anything that would phase me there. The thing you’re missing out on is that it hasn’t had a Render for DVD from Vegas that gives you more control on creating a smaller and a bitrate to suit capacity/size.

What Format is the file you’ve been given?

If you’re truly satisfied, then my work here is done ✅ ????.

When you Boot-Up, which Monitor does the BIOS Info start on? That should be your Main Monitor. I have Vegas on my Main Monitor. You could try swapping the Monitors around. And yes, why when it was working before? I don’t rightly know.

Hmm… Taking into account what you’ve said, I’d look at a bad sync whilst uploading to Vimeo and or the player/device you’re viewing it back on. Try a PRIVATE upload to YT for a test. Can you upload again to Vimeo and view it on a different device?

So, somewhere in the publishing workflow you’ve got to enter a controlled variable to ascertain the point at which you’re getting a bad sync.

I’ve done some Googling about Vimeo Sync issues. Have a delve?

October 25, 2017 at 6:54 am in reply to: Starburst FX problems.

[Red-Rob Rothkopf] “This has little to do with how fast the system can keep up — there’s something in the Starburst code which doesn’t play properly with GPU implementation.”

    Working nicely here.

    [Red-Rob Rothkopf] “AMD RX470.”

Assuming you have the latest BUILD, you need to explore the compatibility of your GPU with VEGAS14. NB: You state that:

[Red-Rob Rothkopf] “FWIW, in my Vegas 14 build”

You’re implying that the BUILD is the same as the VEGAS version – it is not. I have Vegas 14 BUILD 270. Do check your BUILD number.

I can not reproduce your experience. My GPU acceleration is ON. Starburst FX is applied with many many parameters changed over an adjusted 17 second Event. Here is my successful result:

So, no, I don’t agree with your premise that there is a fault within the coding of Starburst FX because it is working swiftly here with my GPU activated for acceleration. And consequently I don’t agree that your system is capable of dealing with this FX.

As I said, do confirm your GPU AMD RX470 card is OFX compatible with Vegas14. If it is, then check its driver set is up to date and IF you need to install any required CUDA.

Bottom line here is that Starburst FX is working here with my setup with GPU activated.
