Ben? Have you added a Transition Envelope to the area of the transition?

John is correct. And here is one I did earlier,…. eight years earlier, back in 2009 ????.

[Ben Albright] “In the preview, it does exactly that. “

Are you absolutely sure? What Preview quality are you using. Please check this by doing a RAM Build Preview or better Render to New Track.

I fear that that the Render bitrate isn’t high enough to adjust for the intensive transition you’ve applied. What is the bitrate you’re using? Does your Media match your Project Settings? Have you set your Project Settings to adjust your Media to the Render being used? There are several variables we need to be consistent to get the best “fit”.

    Interesting.

    1 Project Settings?

    2 Media on Timeline?

    3 Is 1 matched to 2?

    4 Range of FXs?

    5 Video Card and Driver?

6 Where on and on which Drive is your Media located?

That’s 6 questions to get on with.

You’ve tried to match the AUDIO Bit-rate in Project Settings – that didn’t work. So, all we are left with is that Vegas is trying to read the audio at a rate that your audio system handle it. You’ve also said that if you re-render this file the audio is correct – yes? Well, you could test the media information using the freebie MediaInfo, run your file trough that and investigate just what CODECs the Audio requires and see if they reside on your PC. NB: DO NOT INSTALL any CODEC packs!

I think the BIG clue here is that once you had prepared the Media, Vegas is good to go.

BTW, had you downloaded this from YouTube?

Hi James, I’m unable to d/l your file. Pity.

However, go to Project Settings and confirm you’ve matched your Media Audio bitrate matches your Project Settings Audio bitrate.

I’ve had this at times. Try these:

    A) Rescan your VST Folders

and/or if you use any ASIO device:

    B) Select the Windows Mapper

    Any good?
