Just a generic Brown bark… Oak tree?? Maybe.

Here’s the issue. I have to zoom in realllly close and travel through a “slice” in the tree. I am using one of the wood Procedurals for the core of the tree which holds up really nice as I get close. Using a JPG of real bark with a Noise bump looks great from far away but as I get in close it just look sbad.

I have created something that looks decent… but I was hoping someone might have some ideas on a procedural approach.

    Thanks

    Fascinating…

That pretty much does the trick. Its odd though that you can go One Level up… But there doesn’t seem to be any option to go One Level Down again.

How would you go back to Object level (if you so choose)?

    Thanks for the info

    Yes on 10

Yes… Show Track works…. but it immediately turns off the Automatic Mode Function and the Show All Function and makes all the other animation tracks dissappear.

Then when you turn Auto back on and Show All back on the Material track disappears and all the others come back.

Just a bit of an issue if you don’t remember all the Material animations and have to one by one search and make them appear. Same with Render/Effect options like Glow and such.

    I will send a complaint to C4D

    Thanks

Is there a way using the cloner to achieve these three things simultaneously.

Multiple clones move along a complex spline with twists and turns in all directions… while also

Deforming along the shape of the spline… while also

Keeping (lets say) the z Axis always facing the direction of the spline while keep its rotation properly referenced to the spline.

This is something ou were able to do pretty well and simply with MSA…

Lets say you open up the time line… none of your objects or tags are in there. It is empty. In previous versions, If you hit the Show All Animated button, every object or tag in that project would appear in the timeline window. Then you could select and hide all you want.

The Show animated button doesn’t do that. If you have an empty timeline and hit the button… it stays empty. It sort of works in reverse. If you have a whole bunch of objects and tags in the timeline, some of them have animated parameters and some don’t.. you hit the show animated button and all the non animated tags and objects dissappear leaving only those with animated parameters.

At least that is whats happening on my system.

I kind of figured it out. But thanks for help. It made me crazy for a while.

Thanks Adam. Yesterday I was able (very easily in fact) to get a whole bunch of arrows to follow a spline and bend along it. Unfortunately I was just experimenting and playing and didn’t save the file.

Today I am trying and can’t get it to work at all. I’ve got a Spline Wrap inside my arrow. Using the offset it works beautifully. Now I want a whole bunch of arrows to do this. I drop my Arrow (with the child Spline Wrap) into a cloner with a Spline Effector on it and every thing goes haywire. The arrows are flying in all different directions… not along the spline.

I have been trying all the permutions of different settings in both the Spline Wrap Parameter and the Spline Effector and can’t get it to work.

Banging my head against the wall isn’t helping either!

    Any thoughts?

Check them in what sense? Is there a formula? Speed: Frame Rate? Unfortunately I have no way of posting the file at the moment

    Thanks
