Hey, you have a point about flies I can’t argue with. I wish the best for all.

    but…

This problem is too BIG to even consider as acceptable or excusable. Field Order is a very basic concept and should have been checked and rechecked. The fix should be top priority post haste.

Yeah you are flipping this one on me? It is a blatant lie that this product works with vegas. That is a fact. It is a glaring oversight completely on the shoulders of the Boris FX Dev Team. It is a FACT they have ignored my direct contact with them despite what you claim about their response time. I am a paying customers and there are LAWS that prevent vendors from lying about their products. Boris Red 5 does not work with vegas if you render out of vegas. It has been like that since it’s release. No one noticed but me?

You are shooting the messenger a consumer advocate. I am left to think you are friends or affiliated with Boris so you give them a pass and put blame on me. Unacceptable.

I have a family to feed and the last few projects have suffered because my paid for effects package never worked from the outset. You have to be kidding me about my knickers. You are lucky I don’t tell you what to do or not to do.

  • What is the point of having Boris in vegas when it renders out the fields incorrectly? There seems to be ZERO support for this product. I’ve written Boris FX days ago about the problem with no response at all. I feel like an idiot for buying this software which has not worked correctly ever in Vegas.

How are live webinars coming out for Boris Red and Vegas when it does NOT work in Vegas since day one? Seems no one can even attempt to answer my questions anywhere. There are consumer laws that are applicable to software companies. Does Boris FX think these laws do not apply to them? They do.

Wonderful, Red is so awesome but this problem is making it not useable.
I was able to let the field order problem slide for quick transitions because no one notices it but me. When Red is used as a filter for an entire clip the problem is unacceptable to even casual viewers.

The field order selection box is missing from the project properties dialogue. The preferences dialogue box has it but it has no affect on this problem at all because it is for exporting from Boris directly and not through Vegas.

God speed with this fix and thank you for your help.

Try another card. There is something wrong with the card. I had the same problem.

I too get flashing frames with vegas 10 and boris 5. I updated my video card driver and it fixed the problem. Vegas & Boris still seem buggy and unreliable but at least now I stopped the flashing of wrong frames. Hope that helps.

  • Audio is sorely needed because 90% of video is AUDIO!

Has audio been added for windows? It’s a big PITA without it.

Thanks. I’ve been practicing and can achieve the desired effects. However, to add an animated text effect in and then animated text effect out is almost impossible (especially on video background.

Simply put: Boris sucks when it comes to doing things easy. Almost to the point where it was a waste of money. I should be able to add animated text effects both in and out without all this hassle. Boris is seriously dated.
