I should have been more specific. In this particular case, I had a composition for an animated lower third and wanted to apply the same transition to my 3 composited tracks (after I had adjusted the top transition to my satisfaction).

AH-HA!!!!

I found out that the transition had indeed been copied, I just couldn’t see it until I dragged the edge of the clip.

Thanks for your response, however, I just tried it again and the transition is not copied.

What I tried:

1. I selected the event I wanted to copy the transition from
2. did a “copy”
3. right-clicked on the destination event and did a PEA.

… nothing happens, no transition is copied.

what am I doing wrong?

Good info. Seems that this is the verdict… Don’t use them!

Now I understand why I’ve seen some minor “skips” in my last few tapes which I re-used. From your replies, that was probably because of the tape. I thought perhaps it was my camera.

I won’t take the chance and ‘ll spend the extra few bucks and buy tapes every time I shoot.

I don’t have the aspect ration locked. I should have been more precise.

I guess the problem is I’m having a heck of a time understanding how the pan and crop tool works. When I try to zoom into an image by expanding the box, the image often does no longer fits the entire viewing area.

I’m trying to get a bit of a “Ken Burns effect” where I could start zoomed in on a part of the image and slowly reveal more of it as I zoom out. OR… pan from a part of an image to another.

also, I’m finding difficult to relate to the window in pan/crop tool (with the “F”). I thought it would simply contain what will be seen on screen but apparently not.

If someone could also point me to an article that describes how to interpret it, that would be great!

Hmmmm… it’s been a few times now that I’ve heard about Vaast ultimate Pro S being so handy.

I just may have to open the wallet and purchase this tool.
