    Thanks for the input fellows.

This raises one question. I always create sub folders for audio, images, renders, etc to organize my files. will I lose my subfolder organization by doing what Roger suggests?

    Thanks Mike!

Works perfectly! My fault, I wasn’t 2x clicking as you had first mentioned.

Thanks again, this will save me a lot of time compared to the way I used to proceed before.

    Cheers,

    1. make sure you don’t have a selection with the “render only what is selected” option enabled (render dialog window). make sure you’re rendering the entire project.

    and

Make sure you don’t have any of your tracks record enabled.

    2. see number 1 above 🙂

    I hope this helps.

thanks for persisting with me Mike,

I see what you mean. I tried this several times, zoomed out after r-clicking to load in teh trimmer. Indeed there was a selection but it is just a sliver. not the equal length of the associated audio (from which I r-clicked).

    Ideas?

Thanks Mike, however, this doesn’t work if the clip on the timeline has been trimmed. What appears in the trimmer is the entire clip, so this doesn’t quite work.

    other ideas?

    Thanks Mike!

Since I can cut parts out, I’ll re-render in Vegas. I was trying to avoid spending the time to re-render this > 1.5 hr footage.

Thanks again for the explanation and great suggestions.

I understand this is an old post but I’m having the same problem.

My project is too large for a DVD by a tiny bitsy bit. According to the doc, I should be able to only burn what’s btween the in/out points.

Doesn’t seem to work. I don’t quite understand the reason given in the above posts.

    Can someone help clarify please?
    Thanks,
    GIlles

    Hi Mark,

I finally tried the script as indicated and when I run it I get the error:

System.ApplicationException: Failed to create instance of main class: ‘EntryPoint’.
at Sony.Vegas.ScriptHost.ScriptManager.Run(Assembly asm, String className, String methodName)
    at Sony.Vegas.ScriptHost.RunScript(Boolean fCompileOnly)

    any idea?
    Thanks,
