    Thanks Mike,

a bit of a shortcut but am kind of disappointed that it’s still not simpler. It’s times like these that I question my having chosen Vegas over FCP.

Oh well, Vegas can’t be perfect I guess.

    Thanks again,

Thanks Will. I will definitely consider these. Here in Canada they retail for $149 though.

Thanks DSE but I’m looking for a more all-encompassing solution. Something like what the folks at https://www.articulate.com offer.

Those are quite pricey though if it’s just for one project.

    Open to options….

    Thanks John,

So if I get it…. no need to record them if I don’t intend on using the tape with another camera????

    Thanks Roger!

Yes, I have considered using Vimeo. the one reason I’ve been using YT is that it’s the most searched video repository. However, I am considering moving my videos to Vimeo.

    Thanks again for your input.

    thanks guys,

I ended my frustration by using YouTube in the end. Not what I originally intended but since I couldn’t find an alternative, it will do.

    Cheers,

    I see… thanks Douglas. I guess it’s downloading then.

here’s my dilemma. the video will be on my host (1and1). I want to have the visitor watch this 1.25 minute video with “good” quality, at the best speed possible.

I’m confused by all the render options in Vegas. I tried WMV but issues with this is that
A)it was taking a long time for the vid to start in IE7
    B) in Firefox, a plugin needs to be manually installed which means many will just leave and not install it.

Which format should I use and what maximum file size should I aim at?

I’ve been scouring the posts, I’m not getting anywere…

    Thanks!
