yes, for this test clip 1.x seconds is correct. all my other footage is longer… and behaves in the same manner.

not sure about the settings reported. I didn’t do the FCP capture. The cam was set 30fps as far as I know.

Yes, Mike, I can get the original footage but it will delay the project.

It seems silly that I have a .mov file which will play with VLC player but will not import video in Vegas.

getting the original footage is my last resort. Am I at the last resort??? 🙂

In QT, I get audio but a black screen.

I agree with you Scott.

I find many of the moderators on this forum extremely willing to help others. Adding to the list, along with John Rofrano is Mike Kujbida, Danny Hays and Stephen Mann. You all regularly take your precious time to assist others.

Like Scott, I also am very appreciative for these individuals.

Good tip Danny.

I see what you mean Stephen. What I find confusing/awkward is that when I use JKL, and say, I want to do a “split” at the current location, I have to reach for the mouse and click on the current-time-indicator, then hit “s”. When doing lots of these, it’s somewhat inefficient.
