I find many of the moderators on this forum extremely willing to help others. Adding to the list, along with John Rofrano is Mike Kujbida, Danny Hays and Stephen Mann. You all regularly take your precious time to assist others.

Like Scott, I also am very appreciative for these individuals.

I look at it as my way of paying it forward.
When I first started with Vegas, I got a lot of help from other users and this is my way of saying thanks to them.
A lot of people here (not just the ones mentioned) are always willing to jump in and offer their advice and that’s what makes this such a great community.

LOL… YES, there are probably LOTS of things about Vegas that I don’t know but I’m learning every day thanks to you people who ask questions that I would have never asked myself which forces me to investigate the answer and become more informed about Vegas in the process. I also have a slight advantage because I’ve developed plug-ins like VASST Ultimate S Pro, GearShift, Mayhem, etc. which require me to learn more about the inner workings of Vegas than a regular video editor would have to know.

I dedicate my time here because my father taught me that you have to give back to the community so that the community can grow. That’s what makes a community thrive. So my need to give back is deeply ingrained in who I am thanks to him. It is good to know that it’s appreciated.

It is definitely a group effort and the other moderators have taught me a few things as well. When everyone shares their knowledge, we all get smarter. 😉

Alright, I’ll take a moment given this thread to join the lovefest. John, you and Mike are two of the main reasons that I have continued to use Vegas and stayed in Creative Cow. Your honest point of view about how to handle the various issues that this complex software over the last year has helped me get jobs done, and done quickly. On other boards often people are subtly or not so subtly trashed.

I want to take this pause in the firehose of this board, to just personally thank you for your time and efforts. Sony owes you a great deal of gratitude for expertise.

I continue to enjoy using Vegas, which I can’t say for some of it’s competitors. But the lack of documentation compared to them is sort of surprising. your expertise on this board is really appreciated.

From a solo editor/vidiot continuing to find a bit of work in the upper left hand corner of the map.

I too would like to say thanks. I am not a professional video editor, just a guy who wants to make home videos interesting enough to watch, not just hours of small clips just patched together on a VHS tape. In todays day and age where computers with enough power to use this software are now affordable for the everyday joe, I decided to take the plunge and self teach myself Sony Vegas. I must admit it is overwhelming to say the least. With the help of John and others at this site, everyday I become more and more confident the end results will come. I have probably watched a hundred of the tutorials on this site and must say the site keeps me coming back for more.

While I haven’t been at this long and do not do it professionally, I think it is great that everyone here is willing to answer my questions all the same.
