Doing a sys restore is out of the question as it’s been too long since the codecs install.

what I don’t understand then is that John mentions “overlay the good codecs that Vegas supplies…” … why wouldn’t a reinstall of Vegas bring them back?

I assume that if one has installed a CODEC pack and wants the Sony originals, a simple Vegas re-install will do the trick?

never mind… got it.

if I just select the region and do a “copy” although it appears as though the entire clip will be copied (right-click,copy) only the region is copied. Perfect!

not quite what I’m looking for.

Clarification is in order: I have markers set to the beat, and I want to shorten the a clip and “snap” it’s end to the marker. hence, syncing it.

re:your suggestions though:… interesting. I didn’t know you could change those numberrs on the bot right. I noticed that it doesn’t change the length of the event, only the selection. any way of changing the length of the event? Properties doesn’t seem to have this option.

However, i’m not “moving” the entire project, I’m simply adjusting the length of events on a track, one at a time, to match the beats.

In other words, I don’t want to “select-all” and move the entrire thing… simply adjust.

Does this make sense?
