Is there a way to easily/quickly select a piece of an audio clip already on my timeline and copying it to another section?

In this case, I’m wanting to grab a piece of background sound from a clip.

    Thanks,

    Gilles

    never mind… got it.

if I just select the region and do a “copy” although it appears as though the entire clip will be copied (right-click,copy) only the region is copied. Perfect!

    Gilles,
Select the region and create a subclip…

    Cheers for now,

Yup, I do this all the time. In fact you can select specific region portions of events on different tracks and you can then paste these to another area or even another project. I use a separate project all the time as my “trimmer” to copy/paste to the main project.
