    June 6, 2012 at 12:37 pm in reply to: Media100 can’t find Kona 3

    [Michael Hanish] “Gerry,

You need to use an earlier version of the Kona driver as specified in the release notes, I think 9.05 or 9.06, until a Media100 update allows use of newer Kona drivers. MAke sure you uninstall the Kona software using the Uninstaller, restart, then install the correct version.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks Mike, I saw the Kona back in Media 100. I used the 9.05. Took me a while to install everything fresh last night and I lost track of what version I installed. I probably installed all the latest version since they work with Final Cut X trial but now it does not show the A/V out for FCX, that does not matter anyway. Just checking if the kona card was installed right. Thanks again.

[Jason Tower] “Just curious if anyone has heard any news/rumors about an updated version of the Media 100 software coming out in the near future. I think the last 2.1 update came out in August of 2011!

Hi Jason, Thanks.I hope you got some good news but its a holiday weekend. I spoke with Matrox tech support before purchasing the MXO2 and said it works with media 100. I guess, working with issues was not mentioned to me. I am hoping they find solution fast, I need a system again this weekend. They got my email too and said they will email back if found a fix. Ty

    Thanks Fermin,
Yes it has everything you need even adjustable handle, strap attachments a custom padded foam with velcro with rain cape inside and it will protect your back once you sling the unit. It looks like a roll bar foam. The handle on the new unit I have is angled for more comfort and has another adjustable 3/4 inch tube to rest your fingers like a grip. Also, if you would need to attach LANC control. Pictures soon with 3 point monitor attachments.

April 26, 2012 at 4:09 pm in reply to: Can you (file) import without audio?

I am guessing that the track map is only when acquiring video but not importing. I dont think I have seen another button to disable audio upon import.

April 26, 2012 at 4:03 pm in reply to: 16 min hd video for vimeo

    Thanks,
Was able to do from 7+GB to 980 MB just making it 1280×720 but with same settings as the 1920×1080, only the size I changed. It seems fine for internet. Upon uploading files, got message that audio bit rate is too high set to lower for faster uploading. Its fine anyway.

Found this too after uploading, might help. https://vimeo.com/help/compression
