I don’t know if this will help, but there was a closed caption bug fix in VP13 version 444.

  • This may help….

    Make a folder
    Save As
Name the project or use the default
Check the box at the bottom left corner “Copy media with project”
    That will prompt two options….
    – Copy source media
    – Create trimmed copies of source media
If you select Create trimmed copies of source media you can set a head and tail section to the trimmed media.

When you load your project from this folder on your other computer, you should have what you need.

Until you find something else, this may be a work around if you are on Windows 7. Using Windows Explorer…..Select all files on the SD card. Drag them to the HP folder of choice. Select
Copy”. It should detect a duplicate offer several options, Copy and Replace, Don’t copy, or Copy but keep both files. There is a check box at the bottom, “Do this for the next XX conflicts”. Check this box, then click on the option “Don’t copy”. Explorer will skip all same named files.

I think Windows 8 and or 10 would have simialr options.

Out of curiosity, how long are the “edited parts are very small pieces”? Could you list several that you have as an example? Either time or frame length?

In addition Dave’s post, the double click on beginning or end, is a feature of Vegas Pro, but not Movie Studio.

Right click on the track list header (farthest left of the track), then uncheck Expand Track Layers.

  • ….I’m a novice compared to many other members on this board, but glad I could help with a quick fix.

  • This may not help at all, but……

Once I inadvertantly unchecked “Scale Video to Fit Preview Window”

Right click on preview window for pop-up menu, check Scale Video to Fit Preview Window, setting.

    Just a thought…..

Patrick wrote, “They also accept MOV files as well.”

Will they accept a DNxHD codec in an MOV container? If so, that should provide you 25p of a high quality, which you can render from SMS12P.

November 17, 2015 at 4:50 pm in reply to: Confused over DVDA and Blu-Ray

When I first started using SMS12P and DVDA5, I had a lot of questions. The best advise I received was, “stop over thinking it”. The 2nd best advise I received was “get some re-writable disc”. I continued on asking questions, but settled down to make some shorts and experiment to see the results. The third best advise was, “defaults may not provide the very best results, but usually they provide the best overall”.

Therefore I think wwaag has the best reply, “Looks OK to me, but at this point, I’d recommend you get a re-writable disc and simply “try it”.”

    Best Regards…..George
