    Hi Ross,

I’m not sure I am following your workflow, so my suggestion may be way off base. Open your current documentation project in Vegas Pro 13. Open a 2nd instance of Vegas Pro 13 for the cinematic version. Go to the 1st instance and select the part you want in the 2nd instance then do Ctrl+C. Switch over to the 2nd instance and move to the place in the timeline you want the copy to appear and press Ctrl+V.

You can also do nesting in Vegas Pro, which may or may not be as good or better. In the documentation project delete everything except the part you want in the cinematic project. Then save that small part as a separate project. Open the cinematic project, move to the time line that you want and add media using the separate project, and it will nest into the cinematic project. I’m not sure that is as clear as it should be!

    Hi adil,

I think the best and fastest solution to your issue is to post this in the Vegas Creative Software forum, in the Vegas section and title the thread as something like ‘Can Happy Otter Scripts Help on these Render Requirements?’. Then post what you have posted here.

Happy Otter Scripts is a app created by Wayne Waag (who is also a member here and may respond to this thread). Happy Otter Scripts has better render codec than you have in Vegas Pro 13 and will do a better job at upscaling.

Happy Otter Scripts is still in Beta Testing and at the moment a free app, but I’m very confident it will be your best approach.

    Here is the link: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/vegas-pro-forum/

If you would rather not do this, we can provide you with the render template settings for the two render specs they are asking for, just let us know.

Wayne, “Option to add HOS scripts to Vegas script menu folder for use in Vegas toolbar and keyboard shortcuts“, this is slick, Thank You.

Hopefully Stan someone will find another way to perform a full reset and I’m all ears! The only other thing I can think of is to create another desktop shortcut and try it, that might make a difference, might not!!

Hi Stan, now that Paul has saved you and I, I’m sure you will have a better time with Pro Type Titler, but I am curious, why you do not use DaVinci Resolve fusion tab for your titles? Are you using Resolve 15? Have you tried the Text+ in the Fusion tab?

Stan, I’m somewhat at a loss as to what is going on here, maybe I just don’t have enough knowledge about Pro Type Titler to help.

Your project does the same thing in my Vegas Pro 15, as you show in your screenshot and describe. I cannot fix any of your Pro Type Titles, nor can I start from scratch and create what has happened to yours!

Can you provide a step by step process you are using to create the problem title, for me to follow, and at what point do things go wrong?

I have copied your title to a new project and the problem follows the copy, so I dono’t think it is connected to anything in your projects that are causing the issue, rather something in Pro Type.

    Hi Stan,

Can you make up a test project, with one video clip added to the timeline and then the Pro Type Titler adjusted to show what is going on. Then upload only your project veg file, which will not include any video files, but I can then load that with using my source media files and see how you have adjusted the Pro Type Titler?

Also, setting Vegas to reset on startup will reset the program, but unless I’m mistaken it will not delete the cached application data which is the most important part of the full reset. Do you have an Icon Shortcut for Vegas on your desktop? If not trying to do the full reset starting Vegas from any other place will not work, it has to be done from a desktop icon shortcut. Strange yours will not work.

Try it again Stan, first left single click on the desktop shortcut, then hold down ‘Ctrl+Shift’ and double left click on the shortcut. Sometimes I have to do it again as I don’t get it correct the first time.

    Hi Stan,

Taking a stab, I cannot reproduce your issue. Can you post a screenshot of what the preview looks like and maybe a screenshot of the text you added and the changes of the effects you are using?

Also, have you performed a full reset of Vegas Pro? Hold down the ‘Ctrl+Shift’ keys and double left click on the Vegas desktop shortcut. Then check the box ‘Delete all cached application data’, then left click on ‘Yes’. This will reset Vegas to it’s original installation settings and delete the pesky cached application data that will build up and sometimes make Vegas do strange things!

    Best Regards……George
