Sorry for the delay in my response (pun intended). The delay is about is typically about 5 seconds. It was a hassle at first using Slingbox with clients via a web browser because they needed to install a special plugin. The desktop app made it a lot easier to get them up and running. Plus, I didn’t want to be responsible for any future client browser issues which I know would be blamed on installing anything new.
I hope all is well with you. Happy Holidays!

You cannot multicam S3D clips. I have edited numerous 3D concerts and so wish it was possible. I know Avid is working on it since many 3D feature films are also asking them for the capability.

I highly doubt Vidsharx is being developed and supported any more. I used it when it first came out but it only worked in Lion (most of the time). I received a beta version for Mountain Lion but never got it to work.
I needed something more reliable and with support so I purchased MetaLan which comes with ProjectStore. ProjectStore allows Avid project and file sharing. I am pleased with it. Easy to set up and easy to use.

I’ve experienced it also but only on a large project I am working on (lots of folders and bins). I am on v6.5.

I love the 3D capabilities of the Avid and have used them on several 3D projects including the current 3D feature I am on. The inability to import 3D MTS files natively is a nuisance if that is your main 3D source format. Cineform works on both Mac & PC.

There is no way that I know of to import the MTS files as 3D into Avid. I convert the MTS to Cineform files then import/transcode them into the Avid as qhat ever 3D format you prefer(side by side, separate left/right eye, etc.).

Looks like it is working. One of the things that confused me was that I was expecting to see the resize data and keyframes in the Sizing tab but I called tech support and the resizing from the AAF is applied prior to that so you will see the result but will not see the data.

Thanks for the input. The project I am working on does not have mixed frame rates. Every clip is 23.98. I realize I can do a video mixdown, I feel that the scaling quality of the DaVinci is superior to the Avid which is why I want to get this Resize data into Resolve. I am thinking I might need to recreate each resize in the DaVinci, which would not be the worst thing but definitely add some time to the finishing stage.

The EDL does have reel numbers. When I import the same EDL into Media Express, the reel numbers show up just fine. I sent the EDL to Blackmagic tech support and they admitted the batch import from EDL feature was broken. This was in version 9.0.2. I hoped that 9.0.4 would have fixed it, but it looks like it is still broken.
