My first guess is that you’re using a trial version of an After Effects plug-in.

In Audition, you have the ability to select multiple clips in the same track and ‘merge’ them which basically turns them into one clip.

Throw some clips at Warp Stabilizer and experiment. It’s hard to know what to suggest specifically because we don’t know your footage. Keep in mind, Warp Stabilizer can do some amazing things to repair some pictures, but it can’t perform miracles.

I don’t know which version of Premiere you’re using but the current CC version has a Universal Counting Leader (complete with 2 pop) in the “New Item” list.

The link shows it being used on an Avid system but it’s available for AE as well.

A Leader is a countdown, either from 10, 8, or 5 seconds before program start with a sync pop at the 2 sec. mark (2 pop) followed by black and silence. A tail pop comes at the end of the program (5-10 sec. after?) and is used as a sync check.

If you’re on a Mac you might want to look at iPhoto as your building app and then export a movie from there. Paul’s suggestion (ProLostBurns) looks interesting but I watched the demo video and in your case, with 300+ photos you would have to deselect an seemingly pointless “error” message 300+ times before doing anything constructive – yikes!

Well… why didn’t you tell me that in 2001 when I thought it was a good idea?! 😉 I’m glad I didn’t do that for every project I worked on – only a very few. My theory at the time; the camera tapes are the archive media (as long as my clients keep them) and that has worked for a couple of re-visits. For this one, someone is looking for a few excerpts from a program. I guess my plan ‘B’ will have to suffice (dust off the BetaCam SP master).
