You’re starting with a very compressed Mpeg2 file. The first question is, how does it look before converting to avi? The second question is WHY are you converting it to avi?

Yes, you should use recapture.
You can also go ahead and load the project and ignore missing files, then in the Project Media Tab, right-click and choose recapture all offline media.

Ali,

Not sure what your question is.
The box is constructed with the different planes placed via 3D motion.
The “lid” has some keyframes applied so it opens and closes on a hinge (anchor point). The rotation of the whole scene is achieved by moving the whole “world” around using the parent track (don’t think of it as moving the camera).

No.

What do you have your RAM allocation set to? Try setting it to 16 before rendering and see if it goes faster.

You can’t rename it in the timeline, but you can name (edit the text on)the associated button anything you want.

Color correction CAN add a lot of render time depending on what you’ve applied.
Did you change the # of rendering threads in preferences?

It depends on how good your motherboard audio is. I have heard the range from acceptable to horrendous in various computers.

Most likely, you will get cleaner audio with a dedicated board or box.

The “star thingy” determines what you are going to see first when you start up he disc.
Also,make sure you are previewing with Preview Disc and not Preview Current.
